Tom has been involved in USSSA softball for 21 years.

Tom lists the following as USSSA teams that he has either managed or coached in his years of participating:

Taylor Brothers Manager (9 Years)

Riverside/Ram Taylor Brothers Coach (2 Years)

Shen Valley/Taylor Brothers Coach (4 Years)

Team TPS Coach (2 Years)

Longhaul/Taylor Brothers Coach ( 2 Years)

Resmondo/Taylor Brothers Coach (2 Years)

Bell Corp/Taylor Brothers Coach (2 Years)

World Series Coach (13 Years)

Tom notes that one of his greatest thrills was qualifying, as a manager, for the World Series in Daytona Beach with Taylor Brothers, and having to win a qualifier in Maryland to do so. As a coach it was being with teams that won five USSSA World Series tournaments.

“I believe the fact that I have been involved in the USSSA Programs has been a major experience in my softball career. As far as an exciting event, I believe it would have been at the World Series in Daytona Beach when ShenValley/Taylor Bros. won 6 games in the losers bracket to win”.

“I feel that the game of softball is at an all time high. My association in the past few years with the USSSA has been an eye opening experience. The USSSA has been a forerunner in the advancement of the game. The emphasis has allowed the game to be played as it should be played, the professionalism of the local and national directors. The umpires who always appear prepared and respond in a professional manner. From my early years in the New England area with Mr. Dean McNew to my later years with Don DeDonatis, the USSSA has always put their best step forward to improve and advance the quality of the game and the USSSA”. -Tom
