Terry Greenloaf

Director - Presented by Ginny Trainor

Terry was first introduced to Softball while playing for the Quincy Park Youth program at the young age of 10. She continued to play softball from her first year of Junior High until graduating from Quincy High School in 1976.

It was the following year, 1977, that Terry joined the QWSL. She remains an active member to this date. Terry first became one of the League Directors in 1981 and remained in that capacity for 25 years. QWSL has consistently remained one of the most successful Women's Leagues in New England with no less than 18 teams per season in the 30-year history of the league.

Terry has served as Tournament director for the Patty Molloy Memorial tournament from 1982 to 2005. In addition to the Patty Molloy tournament, Terry served as tournament director in several other tournaments including the Women's "B" Northeast Divisional in Leominster, Women's States in Weymouth & Hopkinton and Ginny's Round Robin in Wrentham & Norwood.

In meeting Dean McNew, John Hart, Toby Tobias, Roman Ferguson, Jim-my Jackson and beloved Bob Farrell, Terry began her passion and dedication to USSSA softball.

Some of Terry's favorite experiences occurred at the various USSSA National conventions she has attended:

1990 New Orleans. LA

1991 Las Vegas, NV

1992 Virginia Beach, VA

1993 Arlington, TX

1994 Chandler, AZ

1995 Milwaukee, WI

1996 Albuquerque, NM

1997 Myrtle Beach, NC

Attending these conventions presented Terry with the opportunity to meet people from all over the Country. Terry served on several program committees such as the Youth Program, Armed Forces, 16” Softball , Law Enforcement, Black American, Church Leagues and most importantly the Women's Program. Terry worked directly with the National Women’s Program Directors: Jenny Johnson, Indiana; Toni Gleason, Nevada and Tammy Totland, Kansas. National Youth Director Millie Burrell, Virginia; 16” Softball Director Les Duncan; National Armed Forces Director Richard Doherty and National Church Director Charles Ridell. All of these committees are collectively responsible for establishing the rules of USSSA Softball.

Terry notes that helping kids learn the basic fundamentals of the game during her 4 years of Youth Clinics at Fort Devens, is one of the highlights of her years of involvement with softball.

Terry remains active with USSSA as QWSL Assistant Director and in a coaching capacity since 1984. She is looking forward to the up and coming start of the 2006 season as coach of the South Quincy Social Club team.
