Steven Crampton

Prior to retiring in 1995, Steve had been managing and/or coach-ing for a total of 30 years, 12 of those with USSSA. The teams Steve has managed/coached include: Spalding Brick, Grannon Club, Undercover Wear, Worth Softball Club and Demolition. 

Steve’s teams have participated in 30 Major, AA, and A NIT Tournaments. They have also participated in 12 AA, A, and B World Tournaments. They became MA State Champs 5 times. They also have 5 Top 5 World finishes and 1 World Title. Steve’s coaching record is an impressive 243 Wins-68 Losses. 

Steve’s greatest thrill while managing in the USSSA program came in 1991 when his team went to the Class A Worlds.  “Winning the 1991 Class A Worlds with all the New England players. Fighting through the losers bracket, finishing 8th and winning the tournament.” 

Steve feels his most exciting times are when he is managing for and against some of the best players in the game.
