Before retiring in 1995 Scott played softball for 16 years, 15 in the USSSA program. His approximate lifetime batting average is .640. As a pitcher, Scott accumulated a lifetime 450 Win-105 Loss record participating in the USSSA program. His tournament record is 75 Wins-20 Losses. 


Scott has played for Dick Josephs, BG Mechanical, Bank of Westmont, Iffland Lumber, Superior Bombat/Spaulding, County Sports, Undercover Wear, Pace Electronics, TPS Demolition, and Professionals Choice. 


Scott has played in over 40 Major NIT Tournaments, 15 AA NIT Tournaments, and 50 A NIT Tournaments. He has also played in 3 Major World Series, 3 AA World Series and 4 A National Championships. His team won the A National Champion-ship in 1991. He won 13 USSSA State Championships with 7 different teams and in 4 states (MA, IL, CT and NY. 


Scott has been named MVP 9 times. He has also been selected to an All-State Tournament Team 12 times and to an All Tournament Team 15 times, including at the USSSA A National Championship in 1990. 


Scott’s most exciting event was playing in his first USSSA World Series in Water-loo, IA in 1987. A close second most exciting event was winning the USSSA A National Championship in San Clemente, CA in 1991. 


Scott feels that USSSA reshaped the game of softball in the country. All of the major rule changes that were made were initiated and implemented by the USSSA organization. USSSA promoted and grew the game, both in New England and nationally, and led the way in increasing participation.
