Robert Nelson

Robert has participated for 21 years in the USSSA softball program in many capacities. 

Since 1980 to 2001, Robert has participated as a player, a manager or coach, a sponsor and as USSSA Area Director in Massachusetts. In addition to these accomplishments, Robert also umpired from 1996 to 2000 in USSSA events. 

Robert has directed a USSSA league for 21 years, in addition to being director of various tournaments. 

*Hosted the first ever USSSA Modified Softball tournament in Grafton *Hosted the first USSSA 16" Softball tournament in the Northeast Division *Directed over 200 local softball tournaments 
*Established a 3-2 count for his local leagues 5 years before USSSA National adopted it. 
*Established the first 7-3 coed program in Massachusetts 

*Bob was very creative hosting turkey tournaments, ham tournaments and All night marathons.
