Paula Vitulli

Female Player  - Presented by Carolyn Iannuccilli

Paula has been playing softball since the early 1980's and is still currently active in the USSSA softball program. She was a 3-time All-State selection at North Providence High School and then continued on to compete competitively at Rhode Island College. Some of the teams Paula played on in the 80's include Notre Dame Hospital, Dimitri's Diamonds, and Cousins Tavern. Since then she has played for Kohler's Hot Shots, Kohler's Fair Warning, Kohler's Tri-State Express, Good Fortune and S&S Landscaping. She estimates her career batting average is better than .600

 

Paula has competed in more than two dozen USSSA State, National and World Tournaments. She has helped her teams place in nearly every tournament, placing in 2nd in the Class "A" National Tournament in 1997, 5th in the 1998 USSSA World Series and more recently in the 2014, the S&S Landscaping team entered the 2014 USSSA Class "D" Championship seeded 4th.

 

She has earned numerous all-tournament honors and states that "earning an All-World selection at the 1998 World Series in Cocoa, FL” was her greatest thrill in softball. Other individual awards

All-Tournament Team - 2009 USSSA Class D Northeast National Championship

 

In addition to Paula's individual accomplishments, she has helped her teams achieve tremendous success. Such as Kohler's Fair Warning (USSSA Team of Distinction Award recipients) being named Rhode Island's USSSA Team of the Year in both 1995 and 1997. They were also named Rhode Island's Team of the decade for the 1990's. 


Paula, a self proclaimed "addict" to softball states: "I am extremely grateful to the USSSA organization for giving me and my teammates the opportunity to play the game I love, each and every season"
