Mark Joseph

Male Player - Presented by Scott Shaw

Mark has been playing USSSA softball for 25 years. He has played on many teams including PSA, Pierce Construction, Rossetto Builders, Monaco Ford, GMAC, Montys World, Reils Rental, Steves Sports, Fred’s Forty Something and The 06111’ers. His lifetime batting average is approximately .700 and has an impressive 150-45 pitching record.

Winning the B USSSA World Series was the most exciting thing ever to happen to Mark. However, in 1996 Rossetto Builders team had to move up to the B’s because they won 11 tournaments the year before in the C's. They had a really rough year, and went into the Northeast Regionals in Fort Devens, MA ranked 18th out of 18 teams and played their butts off. They beat the dominating Thermco team in the winners’ bracket finals and had to battle them in the IF game to shock them for the win. Mark and his teammates could see the looks on their faces of disbelief when they upset them. The rest is history for that great Thermco team as they went on to win the Worlds in Arizona.

“We sat and cheered them on doing the braves chop and screaming at the other teams (especially the one from California, man they hated us) but still in the back of our minds we knew that we upset them back home and that couldn't be taken away!! NOW that is still exciting to me!!” -Mark
