Lori Beaudoin

Female Player - Presented by Gerri Riley

Lori has been playing softball for 28 years, 20 of those have been with USSSA. She has played on many teams including Taylor Rental, U Can’t Touch This, Tony’s Pizza, BK’s Bar and Grill, Gill’s Automotive, Fair Warning, Boomers, Billy’s Sports Bar and Twisted Sistahs. Fair Warning was recognized as a Team of Distinction in 2008 by the NE USSSA Hall of Fame.

One of Lori’s most exciting events was in 1995 when she had started her own women’s tournament team, Taylor Rental. They went 5-0 in the tournament, but what made it special for her was that it took place in her hometown of Leominster, MA where her friends and most importantly her parents were able to attend. Her parents have always been her biggest supporters, so for them to see her perform in person like she did made it a truly amazing experience.

Some of Lori’s accomplishments include:

  • 1995 Women’s C State Championship, MVP
  • 2001 Women’s C Frank Italia Memorial Tournament, MVP
  • 2003 Women’s Open Trentonian Tournament, MVP
  • 2006 Women’s New England States, MVP
  • 2008 Summer Slam Gold Division, MVP
  • 2008 Northeast Women’s Nationals, All Tournament Team
  • 2009 Women’s C USSSA World Series, All Tournament Team

Lori’s greatest softball thrill came in 2009 when she and a friend, Hall of Famer Gerry Riley, formed a new team call Twisted Sistahs. They were State Champions and had placed 2nd in the Northeast National Tournament. Going into the Word Series, Lori believed they had the ability and chemistry to do something very special.

With her many years of pitching experience, and her ability to accurately read her opponents, she knew they would go far. Starting off the World Series winning their first game, she knew it gave them the confidence to play together as they had all season. They won the next 2 games before losing a game. She saw the true make-up of her team and knew her team could overcome the defeat and use it as a stepping stone for the rest of their journey. They won their next 4 games before being knocked out of the World Series, finishing 3rd.

“Throughout my years of playing softball, I have played for the pure passion and enjoyment of the game. So to be honored for playing a game I love so much is truly touching and overwhelming to me.” -Lori
