Jon describes one of his most exciting moments occurred in 1997 in the USSSA Master NIT in Maryland. At the time Dirk Androff (deceased) was what many considered the best hitter in men's softball. He took a swing as hard as he could and squibs the ball off the top of his bat right to the 1st baseman. He was the first batter in the game and it set the tone as the park went silent. He also notes one of his greatest softball thrills was beating the Steele's Hit Men 21-19 in the 1998 Major NIT tournament in Maryland and being the winning pitcher.
