Deb lists her most exciting event as being in 2009 when Twisted Sistahs was playing their 1st year as a team and finishing 3rd at the Women’s D World Series in Florida. They went on an amazing run even as Mother Nature tried to get in the way, they would not be denied. They were forced to wait out a big storm for over 3 hours and once they stepped back on the field at 11PM that night, they played their best game of the tournament beating a really good team from Southern California.

When looking back at playing the game of softball for so long, Deb feels her greatest thrill is thinking about all the amazing women that she had the privilege to either play alongside of or against. Those women are already Hall of Famers and continue to be advocates and teachers of the game. She is grateful for having had the opportunity to have learned from such great ball players.

“I truly enjoy playing this game and will continue to play until my body tells me otherwise. Even at my age I feel every game, every inning, and every at-bat, that I am still a student of the game…..always learning. I am surrounded by great ball players whose passion and understanding for the game continue to make playing ball so much fun.”
