During the years he was President of the CMOA, he acted as the area UIC and as an assistant to the USSSA New England UIC.

Bob believes in what the umpires of the USSSA represent and what is required of them and who they serve. USSSA officials represent an organization that provides a service to players and managers who demand exceptional professionalism and 110% of their efforts every time they don their black and red. He also believes that by putting those players and managers first and foremost is why the USSSA program and its organization will always rise above the rest.

“Since my recruitment into this organization, USSSA softball has given my family and I a way of life. I'm honored to have had the opportunity throughout my career to work alongside of, and been mentored by, some of the best umpires in the game of softball, as well having gained the utmost respect for many of the directors, players and coaches who I've come in contact with over the years. In my opinion there is no better sports organization then USSSA.”  - Bob Walker
